Under the theme ‘Tomorrow’s World Today’, the summit seeks to accelerate access to reliable energy on the continent by mentoring and boosting skills of youthful players in the energy sector.
Moreover, among other activities, the Youth Energy Summit programme featured high-level panel discussions.
Paul Hinks- the founder and CEO of US-based power developer, Symbion Power Group moderated the panel that had representatives of notable energy players.

Zeddy Bariti, the founder of the Power Dialogue podcast which advocates for sustainability in East Africa, was among the youths on the panel.
The Power Dialogue Show shares authentic stories from across the container with a goal of advocating for sustainable production and consumption policies in East Africa.
A recipient of the Power Hand Award for her efforts in preaching sustainability to African audiences, Bariti underscored the need to sensitize the youth to take responsibility and be part of the switch to sustainable energy.
“As inheritors of a world that demands bold solutions to pressing global challenges that include energy poverty & climate change, there couldn’t be a more opportune time to hand over the baton to a generation that is eager to drive change,” Bariti stated.
Also among the delegates in the summit was Suzana Munuo, a Tanzanian national, known for founding Gilsun Tanzania.
Gilsun provides Biogas services in the East African nation with the goal of contributing solutions for climate change.
The Youth Energy Summit, Nairobi edition was the second after the inaugural YES in Brussels, Belgium during the 2022 Africa Energy Forum.
