WIOCC, Africa’s leading Carriers’ Carrier, has partnered with Galaxy Backbone Limited (GBB) to improve high-speed internet in Nigeria. The collaboration aims to enhance digital inclusion and drive the country’s digital transformation.
By merging WIOCC’s wholesale fibre network with GBB’s national infrastructure, the partnership will expand broadband access to underserved regions. Businesses and government institutions will also benefit from improved scalability and efficiency.

Partnership to Drive Nigeria’s Digital Economy
The agreement focuses on bridging Nigeria’s digital divide. It will foster partnerships with Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) to support Nigeria’s digital economy.
A signing ceremony was held at Galaxy Backbone’s Corporate headquarters in Abuja. Darren Bedford of WIOCC and Professor Ibrahim A. Adeyanju of GBB signed the deal. Both leaders emphasized their shared commitment to digital transformation in Nigeria.
