WIOCC Partners with FMCIDE to Boost Nigeria’s Digital Economy

WIOCC Group has partnered with Nigeria’s Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy (FMCIDE) to enhance digital growth. The collaboration was sealed through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

This partnership aims to expand Nigeria’s digital infrastructure and improve broadband quality and accessibility. It focuses on enhancing policies and providing training for youth.

WIOCC will invest in advanced fibre networks and colocation facilities to support internet service providers (ISPs).

Investing in Infrastructure and Policies

WIOCC will work with the Nigerian Broadband Alliance to connect more homes and businesses with reliable broadband.

The MoU also emphasizes improving the National Policy on Telecommunications. This ensures it meets the evolving needs of the digital economy.

Speaking about the partnership, Mr. Darren Bedford, Chief Business Development Officer of WIOCC Group, said:

WIOCC will also provide digital training to create job opportunities for Nigerian youth. The project is expected to drive innovation and economic growth.
