Tony Elumelu Foundation Opens 2025 Entrepreneurship Programmes for African Innovators

The Tony Elumelu Foundation, TEF has opened applications for its 2025 Entrepreneurship Programmes. Entrepreneurs across Africa can apply now.

These programmes provide expert mentoring, training, and non-refundable seed funding to help entrepreneurs grow their businesses. Applicants must be 18 years or older.

TEF Supporting Innovation, AI, and Green Business

The flagship TEF Entrepreneurship Programme welcomes entrepreneurs with innovative ideas or businesses under five years old. This year, it focuses on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and green initiatives.

Women entrepreneurs can apply for the IYBA-WE4A Programme, which promotes green businesses in eight African countries, including Kenya and Uganda. The Aguka Ideation Programme, for young Rwandans aged 18–30, offers $3,000 seed capital to turn ideas into viable businesses.

Application Process

Applications must be submitted on TEFConnect, the Foundation’s digital hub. The application window is open from January 1 to March 1, 2025. Entrepreneurs are encouraged to apply early.
