ST Digital Expands into the DRC with OADC Texaf Partnership

ST Digital, a major African cloud services provider, has announced its expansion into the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). The company has partnered with the OADC Texaf – Kinshasa data centre to tap into the region’s growing digital market.

This partnership places ST Digital at the forefront of the DRC’s digital transformation. The OADC Texaf – Kinshasa data centre is the DRC’s first live open-access, carrier-neutral, Uptime Institute Tier-III certified facility. With a capacity of 2MW, it sets the benchmark for digital infrastructure in the country.

The data centre will soon achieve ISO27001 certification. This highlights its commitment to top-notch security and operational standards.

Most national and international carriers are already located at the facility. Its open-access interconnect ecosystem is a key attraction for content providers like ST Digital.

Digitalisation Efforts in the DRC Boost Content Demand

The DRC’s population of over 100 million is driving the need for reliable digital services. As more citizens gain access to connectivity, the demand for local and high-quality content is growing.
