Kenya Airways, Kenya’s national airline, and Air Europa, Spain’s third largest airline, have signed an agreement to work together.
This agreement will help the Kenyan airline to extend its reach in Europe and the United States of America.
Air Europa passengers can now travel from Amsterdam to Nairobi, while Kenya Airways passengers have access to flights to Madrid, Palma de Mallorca, New York, and Miami.
This agreement has made it easier for travelers. They can buy one ticket, check in once, and have short waiting times for their connections.
Kenya Airways will use its codes on four Air Europa routes, that is Amsterdam to Madrid, Madrid to Palma de Mallorca, Madrid to New York, and Miami.
On the other hand, Air Europa will use its code on the Kenya Airways flight from Amsterdam to Nairobi.
While giving his remarks, Martin Gitonga, Kenya Airways’ Head of Network Planning and Alliances stated,
“We are excited about this partnership as it will provide our guests with more convenient travel options to Europe and the United States.
“Air Europa has been our partner under the SkyTeam Alliance, and this agreement allows us to collaborate more for the mutual benefit of our guests.
“Additionally, it gives our guests more access and connectivity.”

Kenya Airways Strengthening Partnerships

Estelle Leray, Air Europa’s Director of Alliances added, “We are very pleased with the partnership we have signed with Kenya Airways.
“In addition to working with one of the most established and prestigious airlines in Africa, this alliance allows us to significantly expand our reach in a region with growing demand.
“This will certainly be of great benefit to our customers.”
The Kenyan airline is proud to connect Africa to the world and the world to Africa through its Nairobi hub.
The airline wants to make travel easier for its customers by working with other airlines and making agreements to go to more places.
