Johannesburg to Host Africa Digital Finance Summit 2024

Glass House PR will host the 3rd annual Africa Digital Finance Summit in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The event will run from November 20th to 22nd, 2024, and will welcome both physical and virtual attendees.

Additionally, on the fourth day, physical attendees will visit the conference area and explore exhibitions.

This year’s summit is themed ‘The future of finance in Africa: Our path to a new African‘. It marks the third edition of the Africa Digital Finance Summit.

It’s a significant move as the event is usually held in Kenya, but now moves to South Africa.

Choosing to have the summit in South Africa shows how important this event is for the whole continent of Africa.

It also shows how much the conference wants people from different African countries to work together.

Africa Digital Finance Summit Fostering Continental Cooperation

The first African Digital Finance Summit was held in Nairobi in February 2021. It initiated conversations about the continent’s future in value exchange.

Since then, government officials, central bank representatives, fintech executives, and other decision-makers have gathered to discuss finance’s future.

By hosting such speakers, the summit fosters Pan-African discussions crucial for economic, sociological, and developmental progress.

Mary Njoki, Glass House PR’s CEO, hopes the finance summit will help Africa realize its growth potential while navigating developmental challenges.

This year, attendees will benefit from insights shared by 100 keynote speakers from diverse professional backgrounds related to finance digitization.

Topics include digital transformation, Artificial Intelligence, climate change, cybersecurity, and financial inclusion.

These discussions promise to be comprehensive, and pave the way for fair financing across Africa.

Choosing South Africa as the summit’s location was a thoughtful decision. Considerations around finance, Africa’s development, and recent diplomatic talks influenced the decision.

After the 37th Ordinary Session of the African Union on February 18th, where Presidents Ruto and Ramaphosa discussed free trade and diplomacy, Kenyan President referenced deepening collaboration with South Africa.

The Africa Digital Finance Summit 2024 in Johannesburg signifies another step towards continental cooperation in advancing finance and development across Africa.
