Karibu Connect, a Kenyan company that specializes in providing internet connection, will be the official reseller of Starlink’s high-speed internet in the country.
In a statement on Tuesday, July 18, Karibu Connect confirmed that Starlink- which is a subsidiary of Elon Musk’s SpaceX, had delegated the authority of selling its services to the Kenyan Firm.
The move, the statement reads, will allow Karibu Connect to extend Starlink’s connectivity to the rural parts of Kenya in line with its goal of eliminating the digital divide.
What’s more, Schools, telecommunications companies, government organizations, health centers and businesses in general are among the entities lined up to benefit from the Starlink services.

Further, Karibu noted that the services will be in both fixed and mobile forms through vehicle mounted solutions- among other ways for convenience.
Additionally, the company will be offering solutions for public Wi-Fi hotspots and 4G/5G backhaul upon request.
Speaking on the development, Karibu’s CEO John Thuo described the company’s partnership with Starlink as a revolutionizing force and a boost in its efforts of providing internet connection across all parts of Kenya.

Moreover, Starlink’s hardware and services will be available immediately for all qualified customers.
Also, Connected customers will be able to pay for Starlink’s services in Kenyan Shillings using electronic payment services including M-Pesa.To effectively manage all aspects of Starlink services, Karibu has set up an online portal dedicated to provide seamless monitoring and a 24/7 support team.
