Dubai DET and Noon Partner to Boost SME Growth through New E-commerce Program

The Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, DET, has signed a partnership with noon to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs). This collaboration aims to strengthen the growth of Dubai-based SMEs through a new e-commerce program.

The partnership is part of the Dubai Traders initiative, one of ten key projects under the Dubai Economic Agenda, D33. The initiative, announced by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, aims to help SMEs adopt digital tools and channels.

This will enable them to scale their businesses both locally and internationally. Dubai Traders will support SMEs in creating a branded online presence, digitizing supply chain processes, and accessing e-commerce platforms.

New Opportunities for SMEs through Digital Integration

The program seeks to establish close partnerships with private sector companies, including leading B2B, B2C, and digital solution providers. It aims to provide SMEs with a range of tools, incentives, and support to engage with online customers.

H.E. Helal Saeed Almarri, Director General of Dubai DET, and Mohamed Alabbar, Founder of noon, witnessed the signing of the partnership. The agreement was signed by Hadi Badri, CEO of Dubai Economic Development Corporation (DEDC), and Faraz Khalid, CEO of noon.

Initially, the program will focus on e-commerce to help SMEs build a strong online presence. The partnership with noon offers an onboarding incentive package to encourage sellers to join the platform. Emirati sellers can also access personalized support through noon’s Mahali program.
