The MEST Africa Challenge 2024 is now open for applications. This initiative, supported by the Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology (MEST Africa) and the Norwegian Embassy, seeks outstanding AgriTech startups in West Africa. The challenge aims to find and support innovative entrepreneurs tackling key agricultural issues in the region.
The winning startup will receive $50,000 in equity funding. Alongside the funding, they will gain access to MEST’s global network. This network provides valuable partnerships, mentorship, and investment opportunities. These resources are crucial for accelerating growth and expanding global presence.

Ashwin Ravichandran, a Portfolio Advisor at MEST Africa, explains the purpose of the challenge. He says, “‘Find Your Soil’ is a call for AgriTech innovators to locate the ideal setting for their vision to succeed.”
MEST Africa is dedicated to boosting job creation and economic growth through tech entrepreneurship. The organization provides specialized training and investment opportunities. By doing so, MEST empowers Africa’s brightest minds to build and scale impactful businesses.
