ALABC Hosts Exclusive Latin America Networking Event in Sydney

The Australia-Latin America Business Council (ALABC) is offering a rare chance to connect with top Latin American leaders—no flights required.

On October 29, 2024, ALABC’s Latin American Mining Gala Dinner in Sydney will bring together business executives.

They will also bring government officials, and key decision-makers from across Latin America. The event aims to spark new partnerships and offer valuable insights into Latin America’s economic landscape.

Attendees can look forward to networking with ministers, vice ministers, and high-ranking delegates from nations. They include Peru, Chile, Argentina, Brazil, and Cuba.

Kim Prior, CEO of ALABC, highlighted the unique access this event provides, saying, “It took me 30 years to build my network in Latin America, but at this event, you can do it in one night.”

In addition, ALABC Director Paola Lasso will lead an exclusive panel discussion on October 31, focusing on risk management strategies in Latin America’s mining industry. Experts across various fields will discuss how businesses can navigate regulatory and social complexities to secure lasting operational licenses in the region.

ALABC has over 700 members and has promoted trade and investment between Australia and Latin America for more than 35 years. With connections across industries, embassies, and governments, the organization stands at the forefront of strengthening business ties between the two regions.
