7 South African Tech Start-ups Selected for Irish Tech Challenge 2024

Seven South African tech start-ups have been chosen for the Irish Tech Challenge South Africa 2024. This challenge, now in its third year, aims to create strong partnerships between South African entrepreneurs and Ireland’s technology experts. The goal is to tap into Ireland’s reputation as a global tech hub.

This year, over 350 South African-owned tech start-ups applied. These start-ups are focused on advancing the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The chosen start-ups will participate in an intensive pre-acceleration program in South Africa. The program includes workshops, masterclasses, and mentoring sessions.

The program will culminate in a showcase event at the Tshimologong Digital Innovation Precinct at the end of August.

Afterward, the start-ups will travel to Ireland in September 2024. There, they will join an acceleration program with Dogpatch Labs, a renowned start-up hub in Dublin.
