Zaumu has officially launched in Kenya, giving content creators a new way to connect directly with brands and find job opportunities.
ZAUMU is designed as an end-to-end influencer campaign management platform. It helps creators find job opportunities and work directly with brands.
The platform also enables brands to track and measure the results of campaigns. It aims to remove the middlemen who often complicate deals.

Bridging the Trust Gap
Cedric Nzomo, Zaumu’s co-founder, said 90% of digital projects for content creators never succeed. This happens despite growing marketing budgets.
“Brands subject projects and campaigns to a long process before they can go live. While they see the importance of digital marketing, there is a trust deficit due to improper measurement tools and the lack of transparency between brands and creators during content creation,” he said.
Cedric added, “As a result, it is easier for them to spend on traditional marketing. Statistically speaking, the 200 billboards between Waiyaki Way and the Nairobi CBD made more money in 2024 than all the content creators across different platforms in Kenya.”
According to Statista, Kenya’s influencer marketing spend reached $2.5 million in 2024. However, it could have reached a potential $25 million.
ZAUMU seeks to address the mismatch between brand needs and creator profiles. Cedric said brands often rely on public trends and third-party recommendations.
“Brands are often not able to vet creators who suit or align with their values, while creators are forced to take on any job to ensure they survive. We are looking to bridge the gap between creators and brands. Zaumu is a creator-focused, AI-driven digital marketplace tailored to meet the needs of Africa’s digital economy,” he added.
ZAUMU will feature a transparent job listing system. It will ensure creators get paid at every project milestone. Payments will be pre-deposited.
The platform will also simplify contracting. Creators will have more control over their intellectual property and content usage.
ZAUMU will also allow direct and secure communication between creators and brands. It will support project tracking, milestone reporting, and reviews for accountability.
AI tools built into ZAUMU will help in brainstorming, content moderation, and user support.
“The digital economy holds diverse opportunities for wealth and job creation. Among Gen Zs and Millennials, content creation is an easy stepping stone to tap into this opportunity,” Cedric said.
