e& PPF Telecom Finalizes Acquisition of SBB Serbia for EUR 825 Million

e& PPF Telecom has successfully completed the acquisition of Serbia Broadband (SBB), a major cable and internet provider in Serbia.

The transaction gives e& PPF Telecom 100% ownership of SBB, boosting its presence in the European telecom market.

This move will combine SBB with Yettel, e&’s Serbian mobile subsidiary, to deliver better services and customer experiences.

The deal cost EUR 825 million, with no cash or debt included. e& PPF Telecom borrowed money to pay for it. e& owns 50% plus one share of e& PPF Telecom, giving it strong control in the partnership.

Synergies and Strategy for Growth

e& said, “The successful completion of the transaction will enable e& PPF Telecom to combine SBB with its Serbian mobile subsidiary Yettel.” It also added, “It is anticipated to realise synergies and enhanced capabilities that will drive value to stakeholders.”

This acquisition is part of e&’s global expansion strategy, which now covers operations in 38 countries worldwide. The financial results of SBB will be included in e& PPF Telecom’s books starting April 2025. However, e& confirmed, “The impact on e&’s overall financials will not be material.”

The partnership aims to merge PPF’s efficient management style with e&’s global reach and resources.
e& noted, “PPF’s proven lean management practices combined with e&’s global scale and resources will be a cornerstone of this partnership’s operational strategy.”

The goal is to achieve operational synergies and cost savings while maintaining high-quality services. This marks a major step for e& as it continues to grow and diversify in the global telecom space.
