Emirates has taken delivery of its first A350-900 aircraft. This milestone strengthens the airline’s growth strategy and long-standing partnership with Airbus.
The new aircraft is a significant addition to Emirates’ medium and long-haul operations. It will expand the airline’s network beyond its current reach. Emirates has ordered 65 A350-900s to support Dubai’s ambitious Economic Agenda. This agenda aims to connect Dubai to 400 more cities over the next ten years.
The A350-900 will also play a key role in the development of the Dubai World Central (DWC) mega hub. This will further position Dubai as a leader in global aviation.
Spacious Cabin and Advanced Connectivity
The Emirates A350-900 offers three comfortable cabin classes. It accommodates 312 passengers, including 32 in business, 21 in premium economy, and 259 in economy.
Emirates is the first Middle Eastern airline to introduce Airbus’ HBCplus satcom connectivity. This technology delivers seamless, high-speed global connectivity for passengers.
The A350 is the world’s most modern and efficient widebody aircraft. Its clean-sheet design features advanced technology, aerodynamics, and lightweight materials. It delivers a 25% advantage in fuel burn, operating costs, and CO₂ emissions.

Sustainable and Quiet Innovation
The A350 has a 50% noise footprint reduction compared to older aircraft. Its Airspace cabin is the quietest of any twin-aisle plane in the skies.
The aircraft can already operate with up to 50% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). Airbus aims for 100% SAF capability by 2030.
At the end of October 2024, the A350 Family had secured over 1,340 firm orders from 60 customers worldwide.
This delivery marks a turning point for Emirates and highlights its commitment to innovation, efficiency, and operational excellence.
