Dubai to Host 10th Dubai International Project Management Forum in January 2025

Forum to spotlight Sustainable Future theme with topics on cities, transformation, future jobs, and project management advancements.

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai is gearing up to host the 10th Dubai International Project Management Forum (DIPMF).

It is organized by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in collaboration with the Project Management Institute (PMI) and Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA). he forum will be held from January 13 to 16, 2025, at Madinat Jumeirah.

Registration opens tomorrow, and participants can sign up via the official website, www.dipmf.ae. This year’s theme, Sustainable Future, highlights the event’s commitment to advancing sustainable practices in project management.

The forum will feature 19 key topics, ranging from sustainable project management and mobility to emerging technologies.

Under the Transformation theme, attendees can explore subjects such as leadership, strategy, agile management, artificial intelligence, big data, digital twins, and the metaverse. Notably, discussions will focus on the impact of Generative AI, including GPT, on the industry.

10th Edition Marks a Decade of Success

His Excellency Mattar Al Tayer, RTA’s Director General, emphasized the global reputation DIPMF has earned. This has positioned Dubai as a leader in project management. “This success is attributed to the visionary guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the continuous follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum,” Al Tayer stated.

Over the past nine editions, DIPMF has hosted over 400 experts from around the world. These specialists have shared insights and best practices, pushing the boundaries of project management innovation and effectiveness.

The Future Jobs theme will address critical topics, including efficiency, remote project management, and the circular economy. Meanwhile, the Future of Project Management sessions will explore advancements in augmented reality. It will also explore virtual reality, and trends in project management technology.

Moaza Saeed Al Marri, Chairperson of DIPMF’s Higher Organizing Committee, noted, “Now in its 10th edition, the forum has built a strong track record of success. It has also earned a global reputation by attracting top experts, leading specialists, and internationally renowned speakers in project management.”

Since the forum’s launch in 2014, it has attracted 17,000 participants, ranging from project managers to senior officials and engineers. Al Marri added, “Dubai has distinguished itself by hosting global events, uniting international expertise and talent to foster innovative and sustainable solutions in project management.”

Building on a Legacy of Meaningful Themes

Each DIPMF edition has introduced themes like “Building Nations,” “Cultural Diversity,” and “Mapping the Future.” This year’s Sustainable Future theme aligns with the UAE’s vision for sustainable growth and environmental responsibility.

The previous DIPMF event produced 13 key recommendations on modern project management, future trends, and essential skills. DIPMF engages leaders to share sustainable, forward-thinking approaches in project management, supported by strong engagement and positive feedback.
