Liquid Intelligent Technologies Partners with Globalstar to Boost 5G Connectivity in Africa, Middle East, and Gulf

Liquid Intelligent Technologies, a subsidiary of Cassava Technologies, has formed a strategic partnership with Globalstar, a leader in American connectivity. This partnership aims to deliver cutting-edge 5G solutions across Africa, the Middle East, and the Gulf regions.

Strive Masiyiwa, the founder and Chairman of Liquid Intelligent Technologies, expressed his enthusiasm for the advancements in 5G private network technology.

He noted that these innovations will enable Liquid to offer tailored 5G private networks to large enterprises, such as mining companies, facilitating NextGen services like AI. Masiyiwa emphasized that this development marks a significant milestone for the company.

The partnership grants Liquid exclusive rights to sell and distribute Globalstar’s XCOM RAN 5G access solution in the targeted regions.

This advanced technology enhances the 5G experience and supports AI-driven applications. It is expected to revolutionize the mining sector in Africa and high-end markets in the Middle East and Gulf regions.

Expanding Connectivity and Innovation

Hardy Pemhiwa, President and Group CEO of Cassava Technologies, expressed his excitement about the partnership’s potential.

He highlighted that Globalstar’s 5G enterprise solution will allow Liquid to provide unmatched connectivity to customers in these regions.

Pemhiwa reiterated Liquid’s ambition to become a leading technology company rooted in African heritage. He emphasized their commitment to empowering businesses and communities with reliable, high-speed internet access.

In addition to selling and distributing Globalstar’s products, Liquid will offer comprehensive customer support, including technical assistance and warranty services.

The collaboration also opens the door for potential expansion into Globalstar’s satellite services, Band n53 spectrum, and IoT solutions on a non-exclusive basis.

Globalstar’s CEO, Dr. Paul E. Jacobs, expressed his pleasure in partnering with Cassava and Liquid. He recognized the significant opportunities in the regions where Liquid leads. He also emphasized the importance of their 5G XCOM RAN product.

Jacobs highlighted that this solution differs from traditional wireless offerings and supports mission-critical, high-performance wireless applications.

The combination of XCOM RAN and Globalstar’s licensed n53 midband spectrum creates a unique offering for private and enterprise 5G networks.

This partnership between Liquid Intelligent Technologies and Globalstar underscores Liquid’s dedication to collaborating with global organizations.
